The day after our wedding we liesurely get to the airport and get on our flight at about midday. We arrive in Florida after dark and crash at our hotel. We get to the cruise port and wait in the very long line and then we are in. Complete relaxation for the rest of the week : ) Our biggest worry was, "What beach do we want to stop at?" It was loads of fun. We first stopped at Grand Cayman on our third day on the boat. It was really fun exploring the island on our little yellow scooter. We say some 4ft. fish that blended in with the water. It was pretty fun because they would get really close to your. We also saw a couple of those lizard things that are on Rescuers Down Under. Well, that's what they looked like; they weren't that big though. Wednesday was a Handuran Island called Isle Hoatan. We went to Tabayana beach and it was really nice. They tended to it well. Matt and I saw some pretty great views, especially of the foreign cruise workers playing volleyball : ) Matt really enjoyed that. But for really, we saw some really cool fish and coral. The next day was our least favorite. We went to Beliz. It was some of the most beautiful jungle and we really enjoyed the bus ride right by it. That was probably the best part of the day though. We went on this excusion that was way overpriced and kind of silly. We did some mild caving and some zip-line through the jungle. The zip-line was fun, but we were expecting something with a little more adventure. The last port day was our favorite. We stopped at Cozamel looking to rent an ATV to go through the jungle, but that didn't look very possible. So for about $10-20 more dollars we rented a jeep instead and drove up the coast line. We saw some pretty views and found a few places to stop. This one bech that we found was super nice (touristy) and we thought we were going to just snorkel by the beach and do our own exploring. Well, the prettiest thing I saw was a pile of broken conche shells that looked like they had algae growing all over them. We talked to some of the guys on the beach and they said that you have to take a boat out to see the good stuff. We thought they were kind of pulling our legs but the price wasn't ridiculous so we decided to do it. The local boaters told us we would see rays, sea turtles, barracuda, and sharks. We didn't think we would see all of that because you know sometime people tend to oversell their product. Well they undersold it! It was a blast! We saw two turtle, lobster, two sharks, Matt saw two barracuda, and we saw one ray. It was probably the coolest thing we did on our trip. We found a really good Mexican resturant and we got some real enchiladas (Matt had to have me experience them). They were delicious. The salsa for the chips was so hot though that I had to drink two bottles of water and one soda to stop the burning. I'm not just a wimp either, Matt was right behind me : ). The rest of the weekend we chilled, played more hand and foot than I ever have in my life and ate tons of soft-serve icecream cones ( I didn't quite fit as well in my dress for the Openhouse afterwards...wups!). We had such a good time with each other and we were all rested up to come back into reality.
